Challenges

What the platform addresses

  • 01

    Lack of proof

    When a shortfall is discovered at cash collection, it is hard to establish who caused it and when. The platform records every transaction and protects the record against editing.

  • 02

    Late detection

    A violation becomes known days later, at shift reconciliation. The platform reports suspicious transactions immediately.

  • 03

    Blind spots

    A faulty camera or POS terminal can go unnoticed for days. The platform shows the status of station equipment.

Ready-made projects

More than a product: ready-made projects for fuel station networks

n7kel has ready-made projects for fuel station networks: n7kel Fuel Station Control and n7kel Vakhta are built for the needs of fuel networks, and projects based on them are already under way. We do not disclose client names.

We deliver turnkey projects of any complexity — from a single station to a network of hundreds of fuel stations with a central office, video analytics, speech analytics and access control.

  • n7kel’s own AI — no dependence on foreign neural networks or foreign cloud AI services;
  • everything runs on the client’s equipment: no foreign cloud AI services, external APIs or subscriptions are used;
  • data is not transferred abroad and is not shared with third parties, except where expressly provided for by the agreement and the law;
  • no lock-in to a single manufacturer of cameras or POS equipment;
  • integration with any POS, fiscal and accounting systems in the network.

Monitoring

Real-time network dashboard

Sales and transactions by hour, station statuses, a feed of suspicious transactions and notifications. Data updates in real time, without reloading the page.

The cash transaction log — sales, refunds, till openings, operation without an operator — with filters and a card for every transaction.

Cash operations log: time, station, cashier, operation type, fuel, litres, amount, payment method and status

Digital evidence

Every transaction in a hash chain

Every transaction is recorded in a SHA-256 hash chain. A change to transaction data, a forged record or a break in the chain is detected by verification.

The integrity of any record is checked with one click from the transaction card. Access to verification is granted to the security department and the administrator.

Event log: payments and reconciliation — with category, severity, station and message

Reconciliation

Reconciling POS receipts with registered transactions

The platform matches receipts from the POS and fiscal system with registered operations and assigns each pair to one of the categories:

  • match;
  • receipt without operation;
  • duplicate;
  • amount mismatch — with the difference shown.

Modules

Other capabilities

  • Alert centre: suspicious operations and reconciliation discrepancies — with severity, delivery and acknowledgement
    01

    Events and notifications

    An event log by category, severity levels, acknowledgment of receipt. Delivery by e-mail, Telegram and SMS; the status of each delivery is verifiable: delivered, failed or channel not configured.

  • Cashier screen: shift login with employee code and PIN, till device selection
    02

    Cashier kiosk

    Shift login with an employee code and PIN, opening and closing shifts, linking till transactions to the cashier who logged in. The architecture provides for face login, which is used only with the cashier’s written consent.

  • Devices: station tills with connection status, last heartbeat and remote lock
    03

    Equipment telemetry

    The status of cameras, POS terminals and station devices in a single list.

  • Reports: choice of period and station, export to Excel and PDF, totals for sales, operations, suspicious operations and reconciliation discrepancies
    04

    Reports

    Daily and monthly reports in Excel and PDF: summary, breakdowns by station and cashier, list of violations.

  • Speech analytics: service script compliance, forbidden phrases, dialogue scores in Russian and Kazakh
    05

    Speech analytics — n7kel Voice

    Service script compliance, forbidden phrases, conflicts and add-on offers — in Russian, Kazakh and any other language. Only with employees and customers notified.

  • Synthetic fuel-station till scene: the cashier opened the cash drawer with no customer present — violation “Drawer opened without a customer”
    06

    Video analytics at the checkout

    Events from cameras above the tills — drawer opening, handover of goods, payment — are matched against till transactions. Built on n7kel AI and n7kel Vakhta.

Together with other n7kel products

  • n7kel Vakhta: video analytics events from a station go to the network log and are matched against transactions and shifts;
  • n7kel Voice: speech analytics is available — service script, forbidden phrases, conflicts in Russian, Kazakh and any other language; the price depends on the number of languages;
  • n7kel Antifraud: fraud schemes at the checkouts of station convenience stores — unscanned items, refunds without a customer, someone else’s login;
  • n7kel Atlas: investigation of recurring schemes across the whole network — cases, links and distribution of checks between regions and shifts.

Roles

Who sees what

Permissions are enforced on the server, not only in the interface.

AdministratorAll sections, registration of devices and kiosks
Security departmentEvidence and its verification, reports, all data
Station managerData and reports
DispatcherMonitoring; no reports or evidence verification

Station connection to the central office

  • if the connection to the central office is lost, the cashier screen shows offline mode and a connection indicator;
  • the central office sees which tills are offline and can lock a till remotely;
  • a full transaction buffer at the station, with resending once the connection is restored, is part of the native till client; its timing is determined after the site survey.

Users

Who in the network needs the platform

  • 01

    Security department

    Suspicious transactions and reconciliation discrepancies immediately, evidence with an integrity check, history by cashier and station.

  • 02

    Operations director

    A picture of the network: sales, transactions, violations by station and shift, daily and monthly reports.

  • 03

    Station manager

    Data and reports for their own station, cashier shift login via the kiosk, equipment status.

  • 04

    Dispatcher

    Real-time monitoring of stations and notifications, without access to reports or evidence verification.

What is needed to connect a station

  • transaction data from the station’s POS and fiscal system — via API or as an export;
  • a communication link between the station and the central office; operation during a prolonged loss of connection is agreed during the site survey;
  • the POS computer or a separate device for the cashier kiosk;
  • notification recipients and severity thresholds for each channel: e-mail, Telegram, SMS;
  • staff in the security department responsible for reviewing notifications.

n7kel Fuel Station Control and n7kel Vakhta

The platforms address different tasks. n7kel Fuel Station Control works at the network level: transactions, reconciliation, evidence, notifications and reports for the central office. n7kel Vakhta works at the station level: what the camera above the till and on the forecourt sees, reconciliation of cashier actions with till transactions, safety. n7kel AI is trained and tested on ordinary 2D images, so the cameras you already have are suitable. 3D cameras are supported too, if they are already on site or the task requires them.

The delivery scope for a specific network — one platform, both, or both together with n7kel Voice, n7kel Antifraud and n7kel Atlas — is determined during the site survey.

Getting started

How we begin

  1. Demonstration

    We show the platform in a demo environment with a stream of simulated transactions.

  2. Site survey

    We study the stations’ POS and fiscal systems, network, cameras and the security department’s requirements.

  3. Pilot

    We connect 1–2 stations, configure reconciliation and notification channels, and agree on evaluation criteria.

  4. Deployment

    We connect the network’s stations, configure roles and reports, and train staff.

Questions

Where is the platform hosted?

On the client’s servers or in a data center of the client’s choice. The hosting scheme and personal data legislation requirements are addressed during the site survey.

How do we know a notification was actually delivered?

For every notification and every channel, the platform stores the delivery status: delivered, failed or channel not configured, with the number of attempts. A notification is never shown as sent when it was not.

Can we prove that a transaction record has not been altered?

Yes. Every transaction is included in a SHA-256 hash chain. A change to the data or deletion of a record is detected by the integrity check, which is run from the transaction card.

Is speech analytics available?

Yes, through n7kel Voice: in Russian, Kazakh and any other language; the price depends on the number of languages. Speech is recorded and analyzed only with employees and customers notified as required by the law of the country.

Does the platform depend on foreign services?

No. The platform and n7kel AI run on the client’s equipment; no foreign cloud AI services, external APIs or subscriptions are used, and no data is transferred abroad.

How does support work?

24/7 support: requests are accepted around the clock, seven days a week; response times by priority are set in the contract.
